Jessica Pomerantz- Founder
Jessica Pomerantz is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and French, Jessica has years of experience tutoring privately and teaching in schools. She began Planting the Ivy in 2005 and continues to build relationships with her students.

Justin entered Rutgers University Honors Program on a full academic scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Anthropology and a Minor in creative writing for films. He conducted independent research in archeology and primatology in concert with Rutgers University and the National Museums of Kenya. He produced documentary films for Rutgers Student Film Program and helped launch the nascent Student Film Association at Rutgers. Since graduating, Justin has been involved in teaching, coaching, or consulting in a variety of settings and industries.
Anna brings a depth of professional experience and empathy to students of all ages. She offers premier, personalized, comprehensive instruction in all subjects for the ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, BCA, PSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, and MCAT CARS, as well as other tests.
Michele is an expert on the SAT, ACT, AP US & World History, AP English and AP Spanish. She uses a Socratic approach, engaging the learner to ensure that they are not sitting passively staring at their computer screen. They are involved 100% and actively learning. In every session, her students actively read, annotate, and use strategies to solve the types of problems they will see on test day.
